JUNTA

(2015-2016)
Junta is an scenic piece that proposes the idea that each subject is a territory with a particular identity that is codified as countries does through symbols such as: flags, shields, anthems, flora, fauna, typical costumes and national dances. The work combines scenic displays with objectual art and installation.

The research and creation of this work was a collaboration between Camila Jimenez, Carla Bolgeri, Isabel Torres and Matilde Amigo, who worked from questions around the territory-identity paradigm, reflecting on the iconic-symbolic experience of a country.

The practice of the interpreters has to do with the game of manipulation and appropriation of various materialities that function as symbols that build a space of belonging and subjectivity.
