"Mirar a lo lejos" (look far away) is the title of one of the many songs from the Tao Te Ching that Matilde Amigo sings in her ritual and performance, Tao Te Queen. However, "De cerca" (closely ) is a intentionally ambiguous continuation that she and Sonia Fernández Pan propose as the title for another conversation between them, this time open to other people and to more things happening. What brings them together here is a desire to share experiences and knowledges in motion: first and second communions, orientations and deviations in the process, previous conversations, nomadic texts and words, migrant roots, or ways of feeling at home in uprootedness. Like other rituals, conversation is an event that allows for recognition. Among individuals but also among situations felt in many other lives.
