TAO TE QUEEN

(2023)

Tao Te Queen is a performance, a desiring ritual, a first communion many years later, a version of a version, a text that steps out of the paper to become a sensitive environment, a spiritual biography of someone towards many others, a poem for bewilderment, one more experience of cultural syncretism, an autotune reverb exegesis, a threshold for shared listening, a sacred object providing a profane refuge. Tao Te Queen is all these things, not wanting to be just one of them.

Following the path of the Tao Te King once translated and rewritten by Ursula K Le Guin, Tao Te Queen suggests a detour to many other places thanks to the accompanying voice of Matilde Amigo. In this journey towards a
reclaimed spirituality, her personal biography, symbolic techniques of rituals, and a critical attraction towards forms of spirituality and knowledge denied by colonial reason converge.

Tao Te Queen's invitation is to live this journey together, by entering and leaving the threshold of a sensitive experience that gathers different
moments and temporalities. And in this speaking voice, let many others be heard. Including that of mystery.
